Tipsy Scribbles - A picture says a thousand words when wine loosens the tongue.

Tipsy Scribbles

Last Wednesday I introduced my first Tipsy Scribbles instead of my comics. I spent more of the article apologizing (like always) than explaining why we decided to call them Tipsy Scribbles. So here is the background story.

My default art style is all about the details, every single little bitty, teeny tiny detail is pondered. It can be very stressful and I get tense and hunched over and it’s not pretty. Like anyone who has a skill they would like to improve, they need to practice. Practice makes, well, not perfect, but it has got me to a point that I don’t want to torch everything I make. I am trying to practice looking at the overall picture rather than analyzing each detail, basically doing quick sketches. But in order for me to do this, I have to slow my brain down. Solution: Wine. Down side: I really like wine, hence the name Tipsy Scribbles. Credit for the name does go to my husband, Justin. We’re a team!

Yes, I was tipsy while drawing these. Yes, I did drink responsibly and I strongly advise all OF AGE to do the same! Please do not drive tipsy or operate anything that could harm you or someone else.

We are currently tossing around the idea of a YouTube Tipsy Scribbles channel. We would like your feedback if this is something you would like to see.
